Blueberry smoothie with freeze-dried blueberries
A creamy blueberry smoothie with a distinct berry flavor and fresh acidity. Here you use freeze-dried blueberries for extra flavor, natural sweetness and a more “blueberry” feel - without diluting.
Ingredients (2 glasses)
- 2 bananas (preferably frozen for extra creaminess)
- 2.5 dl milk (optional) or oat drink
- 1 dl natural yogurt or Greek yogurt (can be omitted for a lighter smoothie)
- 2-4 tbsp Supernova Freeze Breakfast Blueberries (freeze-dried blueberries)
- 1-2 tsp honey/maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (lifts the blueberries)
- Optional: 4-6 ice cubes (if you don't use frozen banana)
- Optional: a pinch of salt (to taste)
Do this:
1) Mix
Place milk/beverage, yogurt, banana and Breakfast Blueberries in a blender. Blend until smooth for 20-40 seconds.
2) Adjust consistency
- Too thick: add a little more milk/beverage.
- Too thin: add more banana or a little more yogurt.
3) Taste
Add lemon juice and honey/maple syrup if desired. Mix quickly again.
4) Serve
Serve immediately. Top with some extra Breakfast Blueberries.
Tips for best results
- Start with 2 tablespoons of blueberries and increase to taste - freeze-dried adds a lot of flavor quickly.
- For a “milkshake feel”: use frozen banana + more yogurt.
- For extra berry punch: top with a few extra blueberries just before serving, or mix in 1 extra tablespoon at the end for more berry flavor.
- If you want more freshness: increase the lemon a little (a few extra drops).
